If you want to get a Masters, you have to go to graduate school. It's just like if you want to get a high school diploma, you have to go to high school... you won't get one from elementary school.

You should check out what the FBI is looking for when they recruit agents. You do not need a graduate degree, but a college degree is required. Check out this link:

And finally - no. Grad schools do not look at your SAT scores. Graduate schools look at different types of scores depending on the program you're looking into. The most common is the GRE, but if you were going to business school, they'd be looking at the GMAT, etc.

This is IMPOSSIBLE to answer. Departments are usually the ones making admission decisions in grad school and the minimum GPA is normally something low (like 3.0 or 3.3). For top schools the average GPA is likely much higher than their posted minimum, but again, it depends on the program/department. Also, extracurriculars RARELY matter for grad school unless they're in your field. Most programs could care less that you played lacrosse and much rather see research experience or other academic related activities. If you tell me what your major is I may be able to give you a "real" answer

Do graduate schools have min gpas? I always assumed that was just to get into undergrad. Like a friend of mine got into UCSF med school with a 2.8 gpa premed. Granted it was from UCB. I think it is more dependent on your coursework and GRE or mcat. So while I don't believe there is a "set in stone" gpa that you must have, a high gpa does weigh alot more than GRE it shows that you can work hard and follow the course work.

maybe you should work for a couple years and get some experience to snazzy up that application =D

Yes, getting a Master's requires taking graduate level classes.

The FBI hires from all majors.

Graduate schools look at your GRE scores.

3.7 minimum. But thats just an average. there are some kids who had a 3.4-3.6 but did a lot of extra curricular activities and got in. its not all about gpa. dont forget sat's, sports/school activities (those schools love community service and stuff like that)
I am a junior in columbia and i had a 3.6 but i did a lot of extra stuff after school and played lacrosse.

Most state colleges offer or recommend housing for couples (some may stipulate the couples be married). I would pick a few colleges you like and check out the housing Web pages for more info.

Congratulations on starting a new life in Canada.
If you are interested in doing research in your field, you can start by writing a research proposal and sending it to university professors in Canada that are involved in the topic of your interest. Universities can be can be found by doing a google search of Canadian universities and going through the webpages of professors for their research interests.

If you are not interested in research and merely wish to get a graduate Masters degree through coursework/project, then you can still google universities and check out their engineering dept. pages. They will have complete information regarding programs, admissions procedure and requirements, and cost per credit hour for Canadians and non-Canadian students.

I am not aware of all Canadian universities, but I have heard a lot of good things about University of Toronto, Waterloo, and McGill with regards to their engineering program. McGill also has a good industrial management program that combines the aspects of engineering with management and business administration knowledge.
